'James and Thomas bring some Chandler's Ford Christmas cheer to the Isaac Watts Christmas tree festival'.

'James Wilkins and Thomas Searle, assisted by Jacquie Aubry and Edna Race, visited Isaac Watts Memorial URC on Monday 5th December to decorate a Christmas tree on behalf of Chandler's Ford URC. The Christmas tree festival at Isaac Watts is in its third year, and participating trees come from both church and community with contributions from the police, bakery and even the local chippy! The church was then open on the three Saturdays leading up to Christmas for people to view the exhibition. The first week it was held in conjunction with a Christmas coffee morning, and for the second two weeks, bacon butties and mince pies were on offer as well ... yummy! Thanks to James, Thomas, Jacquie and Edna for taking part on our behalf. The congregation at Isaac Watts are most grateful.'

Zambia

Church Link with Zambia is cemented

Recently, 7 members of the church visited Bethel Congregation in Chilanga just outside Lusaka in Zambia for a 2 week visit. They experienced African worship, visited a number of churches, took part in Bible Study and had some time to visit the Victoria Falls and a game park. A few photos below give an indication of what it was like.

If you would like members of the Group to talk to you about the visit and show you some videos and photos, please get in touch with Martin Waldron on 023 8026 5588.
